Sam Sills voted Windsurfer of the Year!

Sam Sills Windsurfer of the Year Tushingham UKWA Starboard Champion WindsurferHighlight of the UK Windsurfing Association's annual end of season ball and presentations was the awarding of the Windsurfer of the Year trophy. The winner, after a public vote was a popular choice - Techno 293 World Champion Sam Sills (pictured). Sam not only won the World Title but also clearly won every UK Cup event he took part in and put in commendable displays on slalom kit at both the National Windsurfing Festival and the Poole Windfest. 

Not to be outdone, younger sister Saskia picked up the Young Windsurfer of the Year trophy, following a fantastic silver at the Techno Europeans and even better... victory at the Worlds! Well done to sister Imogen too who was close behind.

Sam now steps up to the new challenges of the one-design RS-X fleet for 2010. When time allows between racing and training he'll looking for wave and slalom action, where he's just kitted himself out with the latest Starboard and Tushingham gear for the new season.
