Southport Success!
RYA North West Instructor Conference Sat 20th March 2010.

Simon Bornhoft made the journey north to Southport to support the RYA conference and run a unique SB  'skills and drill' session with a great bunch of very enthusiastic RYA Instructors. He reports:

"Braving the 30 degree heat, blazing sun and tropical waters, the afternoon session was a swirl of 'upwind downwinders', 'clew first beach starts' and 'sail 360's' to illustrate the value of Vision, Counter Balance and many other windsurfing principles. Many of the instructors sampled some of the 2010 range of Tushingham rigs and relied on the Starboard Rios and Futuras to help develop their coaching skills!

The RYA also announced the success of their Fastfwd Intermediate coaching system (written by SB) with a substantial increase in take-up of Intermediate windsurfing courses in 2009.

So a big thank you to everyone who attended this very successful conference. Have a great season in 2010!"
