Powerful yet controllable, the X-15 is a devastating weapon, built to launch skilled riders to the top of the podium whether it’s a speed, slalom or Formula competition.

Subtle advancements to the shape, particularly in the boom area have boosted the power levels. All sails boast shorter boom lengths, improving control and helping the rider to drive the board harder.

Every X-15 benefits from roller cams and easy-access zips, making rigging fast and uncomplicated. The three-part boom cutout maximises aerodynamic efficiency and a triple-roller pulleyblock takes the strain under high downhaul loads. New lightweight X-Ply laminates retain the X-15's renowned strength whilst reducing weight in many areas.

“The X-15 has great top-end speed. The sail feels solid and bearing off makes you want to grit your teeth and hold on tight” - Windsurf Magazine

“In testing the new X-15s, the combination of the new flex-top masts and the locked-in power of the new sails has suddenly made 40+ knot speeds feel comfortable, allowing me to sail with more power and focus on pushing myself towards new personal bests” - Paul Simmons

X-15 mast choices

Extensive testing taught us how the X-15’s characteristics can be altered by changing the mast bend profile. Sails like the 5.8, 6.4 and 7.0m can be optimised for slalom or speed by choosing the appropriate mast.

Our choice for off-the wind maxed-out speed is the flex-top Speed Pro 100
Slalom and Formula racers should look towards the Ultimate Pro 100 with the classic curve offering superior acceleration and low-end power.

The Carbon 75 mast range is a suitable budget alternative for slalom and Formula.

GPS Speed

Use of a GPS device will trandsform your windsurfing, making every session competitive, whether against your own records or other riders. Tushingham continue to support the GPS Speedsurfing website where any rider using GPS can evaluate and compare only not speeds but equipment and locations.

Check out the fantastic  www.gps-speedsurfing.com site - maybe you could be fastest rider and knock Bob Cunningham from top of the Tushingham rankings? Or if not, at least you can aim to be fastest on a particular model or location!
